Rob: It was the damnedest thing because I’m pretty sure that she was trying to piss me off so I wouldn’t want to go out. I work on cars all day so I get dirty and when I get home, I just want to get out of my clothes and take a shower. That’s normal. When I walked through the door, I hear her in the shower. No big deal. I can wait. But she knows what time I get home and she knows I like to shower. I call out “Babe, I’m home” and she screams that she’ll be out in a minute.
Suzanne Vega’s “Caramel” is playing and I listened to it four times before she got out of the shower. Yeah…she’d be out in “a minute.” She finally comes into the bedroom in full makeup (wait, what?!) with a towel around her body. She starts dancing about, letting the towel drop to the floor. She’s not even paying any attention to me so I just go into the bathroom to take my shower.
Jourdan: It was the damnedest thing because I’m pretty sure that he was pretending to be sick so we wouldn’t have to go out. I figured I would pick out some clean clothes for him so he wouldn’t have to worry about it when he got home from work but the moment he arrives, I can tell he’s in a shit mood.
I also figured since I was already in the bathroom, I’d just put on my makeup really quickly. I know he likes to take a shower as soon as he gets home but isn’t it more logical that I just finish what I’ve started? Isn’t that what he’s always telling me to do? Anyway, to make it up to him for spending a lot of time in the bathroom, I thought I’d get naked and dance for him. As soon as I step out the bathroom with my face on and my tits out, this fool walks straight past me. As I’m standing there naked.
Have you seen this body? You do not walk by this body. Naked. So I put on my dress and am dancing for myself when he finally emerges from the bathroom. I still had “Caramel” playing not only because it was the first song he and I ever danced to but also because it was our anniversary.
“I hate this goddamn song,” he says and cuts off the stereo.
